Copernicus Marine Service products can be an extremely useful resource in ocean energy development throughout the project lifecycle. Thanks to free data on global and regional ocean and marine conditions, several ocean energy companies and researchers are already using Copernicus Marine Service products to identify suitable project sites in Europe and beyond. In the webinar co-organized by Mercator Ocean International and Ocean Energy Europe on June 19, examples of the use of Copernicus Marine Service products in ocean energy projects or research were presented. Among these was MESPAC, represented by CTO Giuseppe Giorgi, who presented the practical applications and tangible benefits of Copernicus Marine Service data in the ocean energy sector.
